Josh Hodges Challenges Big City Legal Norms at ISBA Annual Meeting

In his hour-long address titled "My Hometown Is My Superpower," Hodges shared his transition from corporate law to the founding of Kruger & Hodges Hometown Injury Lawyers in Hamilton, Ohio. His strategy focuses on small and mid-sized markets that major firms frequently overlook, arguing that these regions face a consistent shortage of high-caliber legal representation.

Hodges encouraged attendees to look toward the towns where they grew up, asserting that planting roots in underserved communities creates both a viable business model and a meaningful impact. By detailing his own marketing strategies and firm growth, he sought to shift the perspective of lawyers who assume that a thriving practice requires a metropolitan address. The ISBA conference, which draws from a membership of over 6,500 legal professionals, served as the platform for his call to decentralize legal talent.
