Ventric Health Study Validates Non-Invasive Heart Failure Screening
A multicenter study published in Physiological Measurement confirms that the Vivio® System can identify elevated left ventricular end-diastolic pressure with 92% diagnostic success in primary care settings. The research, covering 1,238 high-risk patients across 25 sites, highlights the technology's potential to detect asymptomatic heart failure before structural damage progresses.

The study, led by Faisal Amlani, evaluated a 15-minute screening workflow administered by medical assistants, independent of standard wellness visits. Results showed that 40.1% of participants exhibited elevated LVEDP, a key indicator of cardiogenic congestion. Notably, 42.3% of those with elevated pressure were asymptomatic Stage B patients, identifying a significant population that often remains undiagnosed under current paradigms.
Traditionally, assessing filling pressures required invasive catheterization or specialized imaging. The Vivio System replaces these resource-heavy methods with a five-minute, non-invasive analysis of cardiac waveforms. By integrating this objective data with the KCCQ-12 questionnaire, clinicians can initiate guideline-directed medical therapy earlier. Thomas Cheek, Chief Medical Officer at Ventric Health, noted that the workflow’s ability to be managed by medical assistants allows health systems to scale proactive screening without the need for specialist referrals, effectively shifting heart failure management from reactive treatment to early intervention.
