Google Expands AI Search Capabilities to 180 Countries
Google is rolling out its AI-powered search interface to 180 countries and territories, marking a significant push beyond its initial US, UK, and India markets. While the expansion brings chatbot-style search to a global audience, the tool remains restricted to English-language queries for the time being.

The company is also introducing agentic features for Google AI Ultra subscribers, allowing the search engine to act as a personal assistant for dining plans. Users can input specific criteria—such as party size, cuisine, and time—and the system will cross-reference reservation platforms like OpenTable, Resy, and Tock to surface available tables. Once a selection is made, the tool provides direct links to finalize bookings.
For users in the US, Google is testing a personalization layer that allows the search interface to reference a user’s history. By tapping into previous searches and clicks, the model aims to provide more context-aware suggestions for dining-related queries. Subscribers can access these experimental features by enabling them through the Labs portal.
