The acquisition marks a strategic pivot for the employee-owned firm, which has operated in the transportation sector for nearly a century. By folding Moving.com’s high-traffic platform and MoveAI’s predictive technology into its existing portfolio—which includes National Van Lines and Mighty Moving—the company intends to automate the logistical friction points that typically plague relocation, such as vendor research and quote generation.

Tim Helenthal, Chairman and CEO of National Holding Company, noted that while the inherent stress of moving cannot be fully eliminated, the integration of AI-powered recommendations will provide much-needed clarity for consumers. Moving.com, a fixture in the industry for 25 years, will continue its current operations without immediate changes to existing customer agreements or lead routing protocols. Tricia Smith, SVP of Sales and Operations at Move, Inc., stated that the divestiture allows her organization to sharpen its focus on core growth priorities while ensuring the platform continues under the stewardship of a dedicated logistics provider.
