Jason Rykken Takes the Helm at Viking Engineering & Development
Jason Rykken has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Viking Engineering & Development, the Minnesota-based manufacturer of automated assembly equipment. Transitioning from a leadership role at Marmon Holdings, Rykken succeeds TJ Rosengarth, who will move into the position of Executive Chairman to maintain his influence on the company’s strategic direction.
Rykken joins the organization with a mandate to scale operations and deepen customer engagement across its core pallet and bed frame manufacturing sectors. His appointment comes as the company approaches its fiftieth anniversary, a milestone that owners StoneTree Investment Partners view as a critical juncture for long-term growth. StoneTree board member Chris Dupré emphasized that the selection reflects a focus on high-performance management and the firm's broader industrial transformation strategy.
Under the new leadership, the company aims to balance its established market position with a modern service-oriented approach. Rosengarth, who previously led the brand, noted that Rykken’s history of team development aligns with the company’s internal culture. For his part, Rykken intends to prioritize direct collaboration with clients to sustain the firm’s reputation for industrial automation. The transition is effective immediately, with Rykken leveraging his background in commercial strategy to oversee the company's next phase of market expansion.
