Robinhood Launches Ethereum Layer-2 Chain Integrated With Chainlink

Robinhood has officially launched its Ethereum-based layer-2 blockchain, Robinhood Chain, integrating Chainlink as its primary oracle infrastructure. Built on Arbitrum’s Orbit technology, the network functions as an Ethereum layer-2 solution designed to bridge the gap between traditional finance and blockchain ecosystems. By adopting Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), Data Streams, and Data Feeds, Robinhood intends to provide the institutional-grade security necessary for regulated market participants to interact with tokenized assets at scale.

Gaëtan Thabot, Director of Product at Robinhood Crypto, noted that the infrastructure choice was driven by a need for reliability trusted by global financial institutions. For Chainlink, the partnership represents a significant expansion of its reach, as its technology currently secures over 70% of DeFi and has enabled more than $31 trillion in transaction value. This integration allows Robinhood to offer its users native cross-chain connectivity, effectively turning the financial app into a gateway for onchain finance.
