Mobile Communications America Acquires Radio Communications Systems
Mobile Communications America has acquired Radio Communications Systems, Inc., a Motorola Solutions channel partner with a seven-decade footprint in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. The deal integrates the regional expertise of the Louisville-based provider into MCA’s national network, aiming to scale voice, data, and security services for local clients.
The acquisition adds two established solution centers in Louisville to MCA’s growing Midwest operations. By absorbing RCS Communications, which traces its origins to 1952, MCA gains a veteran team capable of navigating the complex infrastructure needs of regional government and commercial sectors. MCA CEO Vince Foody noted that the move prioritizes maintaining local service standards while layering in broader technical resources.
For existing RCS clients, the transition promises access to an expanded portfolio including advanced network infrastructure, video surveillance, and access control systems. Perry Bond, who led RCS as a second-generation owner, described the partnership as a necessary step to provide his staff with larger career opportunities within the wireless industry. The consolidation reflects MCA’s push to deepen its service density across the Midwest, leveraging the acquired firm's long-standing reputation to secure its market position in the region.
