Gloucester’s Historic Inn at Good Harbor Beach Reopens
The Inn at Good Harbor Beach officially opened its doors on July 1, 2026, marking the transformation of a longtime Gloucester landmark into a boutique coastal retreat. Located at 1 Salt Island Road, the property now offers 18 redesigned rooms and suites positioned steps from the Atlantic shoreline.
The project, spearheaded by the Martignetti Hospitality Group, preserves the site's historic character while integrating modern luxury amenities. Accommodations range from standard guest rooms to the expansive Salt Island Suite, which features a chef’s kitchen and a 900-square-foot private deck. The renovation emphasizes a seamless guest experience, providing curated beach setups, clambakes, and local excursion planning to leverage the inn’s proximity to one of the Northeast’s most acclaimed beaches.
John Paul Martignetti, co-owner of the hospitality group, noted that the vision for the property focuses on balancing legacy with convenience. Beyond the peak summer season, the inn intends to attract visitors during quieter months, positioning itself as a year-round destination for coastal getaways. Guests can currently book stays via the property’s website, with the management highlighting the integration of professional hospitality services into the traditional Cape Ann seaside experience.
