The U.S. Treasury Department has selected the Vanguard Total Stock Market ETF as an official alternate investment option for Trump Accounts. This development marks a significant expansion for the 530A savings program, which provides American families with a specialized vehicle to build long-term wealth and financial literacy for their children.
Rodney Comegys, Chief Investment Officer of Vanguard Capital Management, framed the inclusion as a natural extension of the firm’s five-decade history in low-cost index investing. By providing access to the VTI fund, Vanguard aims to help parents establish a foundation of financial security for the next generation of investors.
Following specific guidance from the Treasury, the firm confirmed it will also facilitate account rollovers. While further administrative details remain pending, Vanguard has directed interested families to the official government portal at TrumpAccounts.gov for enrollment procedures and program updates.
