XCMG Deploys Heavy-Lift Crane Fleet for Sarens Group
A 75-year industry veteran, Belgium-based Sarens Group has integrated a new fleet of XCMG hoisting machinery into its global operations, marking a significant expansion of the partnership between the Chinese manufacturer and the heavy-lift provider following a joint research and development agreement signed earlier this year.
The delivery includes a diverse array of equipment, specifically XCA160H all-terrain units, XCR90 rough terrain cranes, and the high-capacity XLC18000M crawler crane. This equipment package builds upon a strategic collaboration solidified at the 2025 bauma exhibition in Germany, now extending into field applications and lifecycle services across 65 countries where Sarens maintains a presence.
Wim Sarens, CEO of Sarens NV, confirmed that the company currently utilizes XCMG machinery in over 20 countries, citing consistent performance in high-stakes environments. The XLC18000M serves as the centerpiece for complex infrastructure projects, including large-scale wind energy and petrochemical work. It is supported by the XCA3000 all-terrain crane, a model engineered to mitigate load-chart derating at significant heights, providing the heavy-lift mobility required for modern wind farm installations.
XCMG representatives noted that this transition from simple equipment export to integrated, intelligent lifting solutions is designed to secure a stronger foothold in premium global markets. By focusing on site-specific engineering and rapid mobilization, the manufacturer aims to align its output with the specialized demands of global green energy and infrastructure sectors.
