Avado and Amanda Chadwick release HR compliance training for managers
As the Employment Rights Act 2025 reshapes the UK labor landscape, a surge in legal exposure is forcing businesses to rethink how they train non-specialist staff. Avado has partnered with employment law expert Amanda Chadwick to launch a CPD-certified course designed to help managers navigate these complex regulatory changes.
The rollout of the 2025 Act, which began in late 2025, has introduced significant shifts in workplace rights. With the Fair Work Agency now active and further changes—including the extension of tribunal claim limits and the removal of unfair dismissal compensation caps—scheduled through 2027, the margin for error for employers is shrinking. Most operational decisions regarding hiring, discipline, and termination are made by line managers who often lack formal legal training, leaving businesses vulnerable when procedures falter.
The new six-hour course, HR Compliance for Managers, aims to bridge this knowledge gap. It provides practical training on managing performance, absence, and grievances, alongside guidance on psychological safety and legal hiring practices. The material is delivered through expert-led video content and interactive scenarios, reflecting a broader trend where HR departments are prioritizing legal essentials as their top training requirement for the year.
Alexis Regan, CEO of Avado, noted that the partnership aims to decentralize compliance knowledge, ensuring it extends beyond the HR department to every manager whose daily decisions impact the organization's legal standing. The course is currently available to organizations and individual learners, addressing a critical need for accessible, practical legal guidance in an increasingly litigious environment.
