SOCO Debuts Portable Solidification Tech for Medical and Field Waste
Medical liquid waste and outdoor sanitation challenges now face a portable solution as SOCO launches pre-dosed small-pack solidification agents. Designed to replace manual weighing with rapid-gel technology, the product aims to mitigate leakage, cross-contamination, and odor risks across healthcare facilities, disaster relief zones, and mobile sanitation setups.
The new solidification line functions by converting liquid waste into a stable gel within approximately 30 seconds. For healthcare environments, the sachets are intended for use with negative pressure drainage bags and medical collection containers, eliminating the need for on-site proportioning. This shift reduces the physical workload for staff while addressing safety concerns regarding spills and airborne odor release.
Beyond clinical settings, the technology targets the outdoor and emergency preparedness markets. Because the agents require no mixing or additional tools, they are suited for integration into first-aid kits, disaster relief supplies, and portable toilet systems. Qingdao SOCO New Material Co., Ltd. is now offering these solutions through OEM and private-label programs, allowing partners to customize sachet weight, packaging materials, and chemical formulas to match specific pH levels or organic components of the waste stream.
