BTQ and SDT Launch Commercial Quantum Cloud Platform in Seoul

At the Quantum Korea 2026 summit in Seoul, SDT Inc. officially debuted the commercial version of its QuREKA platform. The hybrid cloud environment, designed to integrate CPU, GPU, and QPU resources, is powered by MIMIQ, a high-performance quantum emulator developed by the French firm QPerfect.

The launch at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza marks a strategic shift for Vancouver-based BTQ Technologies, which is currently finalizing its acquisition of QPerfect. By deploying MIMIQ as a paid, customer-facing service within the QuREKA ecosystem, the companies aim to provide Korean research institutions and enterprises with a direct channel for quantum algorithm development and validation.

MIMIQ allows users to design and test circuits at a scale of thousands of qubits, bypassing the limitations of existing physical hardware. While SDT manages the platform's commercial operations, QPerfect maintains the back-end infrastructure. This integration serves as a cornerstone of BTQ’s broader strategy to bridge the gap between classical computing networks and emerging quantum technologies.

Beyond the cloud platform, SDT is utilizing the event to showcase its internal hardware manufacturing capabilities. The firm is introducing a 4 K cryogenic system for chip-based ion traps and superconducting detectors, alongside a high-density microwave control system capable of managing hundreds of qubits. These developments are supported by a series of industry-academia forums featuring representatives from IonQ, NVIDIA, and local universities to foster collaborative growth in the quantum sector.
