XstraStar Launches G-Power Metric to Track AI Search Influence
Brands struggling to quantify their impact within generative AI platforms now have a new yardstick. Singapore-based XstraStar has debuted its G-Power framework, a composite scoring system designed to move beyond simple mentions and track how effectively companies are recommended by AI-driven search engines.
The G-Power model assigns brands a score from 0 to 100 based on four weighted dimensions: visibility, depth, recommendation, and competitiveness. While visibility accounts for 35% of the total score, the framework emphasizes the quality of the interaction, weighing whether a brand is merely appearing in an answer or is being actively recommended over its rivals.
By evaluating depth at 25%, recommendation sentiment at 25%, and comparative competitiveness at 15%, the system provides a granular view of a company’s digital footprint in an era where consumers increasingly rely on AI for product research. XstraStar intends for this data to help marketing teams diagnose specific gaps in their content strategy, allowing them to refine their assets for better performance in generative search environments.
