ATTACK SHARK Debuts R98 HE Magnetic Switch Keyboard

A 98% layout meets professional-grade hall-effect sensors in the new R98 HE from ATTACK SHARK. By integrating a front-facing RGB lightbox and a dual carbon fiber composite chassis, the manufacturer aims to bridge the gap between high-speed competitive gaming performance and the functional requirements of daily office productivity.

The R98 HE distinguishes itself through a rigid carbon fiber composite build, utilizing both a forged-texture top cover and matching keycaps to prevent deformation under heavy use. This structural stability supports the keyboard's primary function: a high-frequency hall magnetic sensing algorithm capable of 0.005 mm rapid-trigger adjustments. With a 256K scan sampling rate and a true 8000 Hz polling frequency, the device delivers a latency of 0.08 ms, aimed directly at the precise movement demands of titles like Counter-Strike 2 and VALORANT.

Beyond raw performance, the keyboard addresses acoustic and tactile feedback through an aluminum alloy positioning plate and a five-layer sound dampening stack. The layout retains a full number pad and independent arrow keys, while the addition of a CNC aluminum alloy knob provides hardware-based volume control. Users can hot-swap the brand's proprietary magnetic switches, which are rated for 100 million keystrokes, allowing for custom configurations across different zones of the board. The unit is currently available for purchase through the company's regional Amazon storefronts.
