AerCap Executes 202 Asset Transactions in Second Quarter

Dublin-based AerCap Holdings N.V. finalized a heavy volume of aviation business during the second quarter of 2026, securing 120 new lease agreements while actively reshuffling its portfolio through 82 combined purchase and sale transactions involving aircraft, engines, and helicopters.

The company’s portfolio activity included the purchase of 33 assets, headlined by nine Airbus A320neo family aircraft, 10 Boeing 737 MAX units, and five Boeing 787-9s. Simultaneously, AerCap offloaded 49 assets, including a mix of Airbus, Boeing, and Embraer models from both its owned and managed portfolios. Beyond fleet management, the firm secured approximately $2.2 billion in new financing transactions.

Financial maneuvers extended to shareholder returns, with the company repurchasing 4.9 million shares at an average price of $141.24, totaling roughly $691 million. AerCap also declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.40 per share, reinforcing its position as a global leader in aviation leasing.
