Mytheresa Hits the Hamptons with Custom Airstream Mobile Boutique
A customized Airstream trailer is traversing the Hamptons this summer, serving as a roving luxury storefront for digital fashion platform Mytheresa. Towed by a Rivian R1T, the mobile boutique brings curated summer collections to high-traffic destinations, blending private client appointments with public access to redefine the traditional retail model.
The activation, dubbed Mytheresa Out East, runs through August 6 and serves as a physical touchpoint for a brand typically confined to digital interfaces. The interior, styled in collaboration with home decor brand Lulu and Georgia, features a rotating selection of apparel and accessories. During the week, the experience shifts from exclusive private shopping sessions on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to public walk-ins on Thursdays.
The tour encompasses several of the region’s most prominent landmarks, with scheduled stops at Topping Rose House, the Wölffer Estate Vineyard, the Montauk Yacht Club, and The Hedges Inn. According to Carly Rosenberg, President of North America, the project is designed to bridge the gap between digital convenience and high-touch service. Guests attending private appointments are treated to refreshments from Saratoga Spring Water and receive branded floral arrangements displayed in Ginori 1735 vases, underscoring the brand’s focus on curated hospitality.
