Andrew Garrihy appointed as OLX Group Chief Marketing Officer
Andrew Garrihy has joined the OLX Group executive team as Chief Marketing Officer, tasked with steering the company’s marketing strategy and accelerating the integration of artificial intelligence across its global operations. He assumed the role on July 1, reporting directly to CEO Christian Gisy in Amsterdam.
Garrihy brings a history with the firm, having previously served as CMO of OLX Autos from 2022 to 2023 and acting as a senior advisor more recently. His resume includes leadership stints at Huawei, Qualcomm, Samsung, and Vodafone, where he managed brand transformations across EMEA, Asia, and LATAM. At OLX, he intends to move beyond superficial AI adoption, aiming to reconstruct marketing workflows around the capabilities of AI agents and digital products.
His arrival follows a robust fiscal year for the classifieds giant, which reported a 28% year-on-year revenue increase to US$992 million for the period ending March 31, 2026. The company has invested over $200 million in AI since 2018, a foundation Gisy expects Garrihy to leverage to improve value for both professional clients and individual users. Garrihy noted that the industry landscape is shifting, stating that success will belong to those who pair marketing expertise with the technical skill to direct AI at the core of their operations.
