Azul Migrates Listing to the New York Stock Exchange
Brazil's largest airline by destination count, Azul S.A., is moving its American Depositary Shares from the NYSE American exchange to the primary New York Stock Exchange. The transition, set for July 9, 2026, aims to broaden the carrier's reach among global institutional investors following a recent corporate restructuring.
Trading of Azul’s ADSs under the ticker symbol "AZUL" will commence on the NYSE once the transfer is finalized. The company confirmed that this shift is a strategic move to capitalize on its improved governance and simplified capital structure. CEO John Rodgerson noted that the move signals a new chapter for the firm, emphasizing that the higher-profile listing will provide enhanced visibility and better access to international capital.
To facilitate the move, Azul is voluntarily withdrawing from the NYSE American. The company has already notified the exchange of its intent and plans to file the required Form 25 with the SEC on or after July 16, 2026. This administrative change will not impact trading on the B3 exchange in Brazil, where shares will continue to trade under the "AZUL3" ticker. Current shareholders and ADS holders do not need to take any action to facilitate the transition.
