Children’s Museum of Brownsville Hosts Whataburger Foam Party

Under a summer sun in South Texas, the Children’s Museum of Brownsville is teaming up with Whataburger on July 11 to transform its grounds into an interactive play zone. The event, dubbed the Whataburger Bash, promises a mix of sudsy activities, themed giveaways, and hands-on creative workshops for local families.

The afternoon festivities run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., featuring a Slime Lab, a Flower Bar, and music provided by DJ Raul. A primary attraction is the foam party, which shifts into high gear from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Organizers advise parents to bring a change of clothes for children participating in the foam-filled sessions. Attendees can also expect appearances by the Whataburger mascot and the distribution of Kids Whatameals for children aged 12 and under, available on a first-come, first-served basis.

General museum admission is set at $14 per person, with an additional $6 entry fee specifically for the foam party portion. Marketing manager Thays Fernandez noted that the partnership aims to translate the interactive spirit of the brand’s refreshed Kids Whatameal line into a physical, play-based experience. Executive Director Felipe Peña III emphasized that the collaboration aligns with the museum’s core mission of fostering curiosity through informal, hands-on education. Families interested in the schedule or additional programming can find full details at cmbkids.org.
