Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace Targets August Opening in Greenvale
A ribbon-cutting at 11 a.m. on August 14 will mark the official debut of Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace at 130 Wheatley Plaza. The regional grocer is initiating a massive recruitment drive to fill 250 roles at the new Greenvale location, supporting a wider expansion strategy across the Northeast.

The company is seeking staff across all departments, ranging from deli and meat counter specialists to customer service and management. With a goal of hiring 1,000 employees over the next year across New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, the firm is prioritizing skilled culinary workers, including bakers, butchers, and mozzarella makers. Specialized Deli Specialists can earn up to $25 per hour, supplemented by a 401(k) match and a 25% employee discount.
CEO Carl DelPrete emphasized that the brand’s focus on scratch-made, fresh products relies heavily on specialized labor. To facilitate the hiring process, the company is hosting walk-in interviews at an on-site trailer in Greenvale every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Prospective applicants can also submit credentials through the company’s dedicated recruitment portal. This store serves as a major pillar in the chain's 2026 growth plan, which includes another upcoming location in Levittown slated for late in the fourth quarter.
