Vermon Group Consolidates Ultrasound Operations with Strategic Expansion
A 30,000-square-foot manufacturing plant in Pennsylvania and the acquisition of Moduleus signal a shift for Vermon Group, which is moving beyond its roots as a probe manufacturer to become an integrated provider of ultrasound subsystems for medical and industrial markets.

The launch of the unified Vermon Group platform aligns four distinct entities—Vermon, TransducerWorks, Moduleus, and Vermon NDT—under a single organizational umbrella. This structure aims to streamline development cycles for original equipment manufacturers by combining acoustic engineering with advanced electronics and industrial manufacturing capabilities.
The acquisition of Moduleus provides the group with specialized expertise in OEM ultrasound subsystems, allowing the company to offer more comprehensive hardware solutions. Simultaneously, the new TransducerWorks facility in Centre Hall, Pennsylvania, marks a significant scaling of the group's North American presence. The site, which is four times the size of its predecessor, features ISO 7 and ISO 8 cleanrooms and triples the company’s regional production capacity.
With a workforce of over 600 employees and 130 R&D specialists, the group is positioning its integrated value chain to support projects ranging from early-stage design to high-volume manufacturing. This transition reflects a broader strategy to simplify the procurement process for global OEMs by providing a single point of contact for complex ultrasound technology development.
