Anthropic Brings Claude Cowork to Mobile and Web Browsers
Anthropic is expanding its Claude Cowork platform beyond desktop software, launching mobile and web accessibility this Tuesday. While the rollout begins with Max subscribers, the company plans to extend the functionality to all user tiers over the coming weeks, allowing for cross-device project management and background task execution.

Previously restricted to macOS and Windows applications, the AI-driven workspace now operates in the cloud by default. This shift enables users to initiate complex tasks on a laptop and monitor progress via iOS or Android devices. Anthropic notes that the desktop app remains the primary environment for the full experience, specifically regarding local file access, though users retain the ability to toggle between cloud and local processing.
New automation capabilities allow scheduled tasks to function independently of active user sessions. The system can now push notifications to mobile devices when outputs are ready for review or approval. To mark the platform’s broader release, Anthropic has extended its doubled usage limits for Cowork until August 5th.
