LG Targets Commercial Laundry Market with New Global Professional Lineup

LG Electronics is expanding its B2B footprint with a new suite of professional-grade laundry machines, aiming to capture the hospitality, healthcare, and industrial sectors. Debuting this month in Europe before rolling out to North America and Asia, the lineup focuses on high-volume efficiency and integrated digital management systems.

The new equipment range features large-capacity washers and dryers engineered for rapid throughput. Notably, the company’s WasherDryer model can complete a full cycle—washing and drying a standard seven-kilogram load—in approximately one hour. To manage this intensity, LG has integrated its Dynamic Ball-Core System, which utilizes gyro sensors and balancers to stabilize drums at spin speeds reaching 1,100 RPM, reducing both vibration and noise levels.

Technological refinements extend to energy management and fabric care. The system employs AI Weight Detection to scale water and energy usage, while a ductless Dual Inverter HeatPump™ aims to simplify installation and lower overhead costs for business operators. For delicate textiles, a specialized MotionCare feature combines high-performance washing with low-temperature drying to minimize the risk of fabric degradation.

Management of the fleet is handled through the LaundryCrew app, which provides remote monitoring and maintenance alerts. The machines also feature a Front Service Ready design, allowing for faster component access, alongside an automated heat exchanger cleaning cycle. For larger enterprises, LG offers an Open API, allowing operators to integrate laundry data directly into existing management software. According to Baek Seung-tae, president of the LG Home Appliance Solution Company, the move is a strategic step to provide scalable, intelligent solutions that support the growth of their commercial partners.
