Illumina Overhauls Executive Leadership With Two Senior Appointments

Mike Sullivan, arriving from his role as Chief Commercial Officer at Caris Life Sciences, will step into the same position at Illumina on July 20. With a career spanning three decades at firms including Roche Diagnostics and Abbott Diagnostics, Sullivan is tasked with steering the company’s global commercial operations and scaling its customer adoption efforts. His appointment comes at a moment when the company is heavily focused on expanding its footprint in multiomics and genomics research.

Julie Coletti will join the organization on August 3 as Chief Legal Officer, overseeing global regulatory, legal, and government affairs. Formerly the Chief Legal and Regulatory Officer at Align Technology, Coletti brings extensive experience in corporate governance and intellectual property from her prior tenures at Danaher Corporation and Bayer HealthCare. She will also serve as corporate secretary to the board, providing counsel on the complex policy landscape surrounding life sciences technology.
