US Performance Academy Earns Top Accreditation for Flexible Learning
The US Performance Academy has secured the prestigious 'Accredited with Merit' status from Cognia, validating the online institution’s ability to pair a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum with the high degree of schedule flexibility required by student-athletes and other high-achieving youth.

The accreditation follows a comprehensive evaluation by Cognia, which examined over 30 areas of performance, including student engagement, leadership, and organizational culture. USPA outperformed the network average, achieving an Index of Education Quality score of 325, well above the 297 benchmark. The external review confirmed that the school met all accreditation assurances without a single identified deficiency.
This recognition highlights the efficacy of USPA’s mastery-based, asynchronous model. By pairing students with dedicated Learning Coaches, the academy ensures that personalized academic support remains constant regardless of a student's travel or training commitments. The school’s academic outcomes reflect this stability: in 2025, USPA students recorded an average SAT score of 1,320, significantly outpacing the national average of 1,029. Graduates from the program have gone on to attend elite institutions, including Princeton, Columbia, and the University of California system.
Brittany Holland, Head of School at USPA, noted that the designation confirms families no longer need to sacrifice academic rigor for the sake of flexibility. Cognia’s report specifically praised the academy’s effective digital integration and the close relationships formed between coaches and students, which serve as the foundation for the school's personalized learning pathways.
