The Osia 3 Sound Processor eliminates the need for disposable batteries by integrating a lithium-ion power source and a portable charging case. Beyond battery life, the device features the new Zaphium signal processing chip, which delivers higher frequency power and improved clarity. Clinical studies indicate that patients perceive a more lifelike sound quality, with 97 percent of participants expressing satisfaction with the audio performance.

Connectivity is a major focus of this release, as the processor supports streaming from Apple, Android, and Bluetooth LE Audio devices. The inclusion of Auracast broadcast technology allows users to tap into shared audio streams in public spaces like airports and cinemas. Additionally, the system is backwards compatible, permitting current patients to upgrade their hardware regardless of their existing implant model. The device is expected to reach the U.S. market in early fall, with international rollouts pending local regulatory approval.
