McAlister's Deli Sets July 16 for Annual Free Tea Day
On July 16, 2026, McAlister’s Deli will host its annual Free Tea Day, offering patrons a complimentary beverage at participating locations nationwide. The promotion, which requires no purchase, serves as a cornerstone of the brand’s community engagement efforts and celebrates the signature tea blend that has defined its menu since 1989.
The tradition, first established in 2009, has evolved from a simple promotional offer into a broader community-focused event. This year’s celebration follows the CommuniTEA Connections initiative, a program designed to honor educators, healthcare workers, and first responders with tea vouchers. According to Jessica Osborne, Vice President of Marketing, the event aims to foster local connections and express gratitude to the neighborhoods surrounding their 570 restaurants.
Beyond the one-day giveaway, the company is extending perks for its loyalty program members. Rewards members can secure a free beverage with the purchase of an entrée from July 17 through July 19. The restaurant chain, which utilizes Rainforest Alliance Certified leaves for its proprietary tea, continues to emphasize its hospitality-first approach to drive traffic and encourage customer retention across its 31-state footprint.
