AMSURG Acquires Five North Carolina Endoscopy Centers
Nashville-based AMSURG has finalized the acquisition of five ambulatory surgery centers across North Carolina, expanding the company’s footprint in the state’s gastrointestinal care market. The move integrates a network of facilities serving patients in Wake Forest, Cary, Raleigh, Clayton, and Wilson into the national provider’s operational portfolio.

The newly acquired locations, which include the Wake Forest Endoscopy Center and Wilson Endoscopy Center, are currently staffed by 15 board-certified gastroenterologists and hepatologists. These physicians provide a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including colonoscopies, endoscopies, and small bowel capsule imaging. By joining the AMSURG network, these practices gain access to centralized clinical resources and expanded growth support while maintaining their local patient operations.
Dina Palmisano, Vice President of Development at AMSURG, noted that the acquisition aligns with the company’s strategy of partnering with established centers that prioritize patient-focused outpatient care. AMSURG, which operates more than 250 surgery centers nationwide, intends to leverage its clinical expertise to enhance the service delivery capabilities of these five North Carolina facilities. All sites remain fully operational and are currently accepting new patient appointments.
