Chris Lee and Tom Bell Named to ETA Hall of Fame
After four decades shaping the global payments landscape, industry veterans Chris Lee and Tom Bell have been named as the 2026 inductees into the Electronic Transactions Association Hall of Fame. The pair will receive the organization's highest honor during a ceremony on September 29 in Naples, Florida.
The induction will occur at The Ritz-Carlton during the association’s Strategic Leadership Forum. According to ETA CEO Jodie Kelley, the honorees were selected for their ability to balance business growth with long-term mentorship and integrity. Chris Lee’s career includes executive tenures at MasterCard, Bank of America, and Worldpay, alongside leadership roles at BillingTree and MarketTime. Beyond her corporate achievements, Lee served as ETA Board President and was recognized as the association’s Volunteer of the Year in 2009. She currently provides strategic guidance as an advisor to True Wind Capital.
Tom Bell’s career trajectory spans a transition from Accenture partner to a pivotal figure in merchant services. During his time at First Data, he helped launch the Bank of America Merchant Services joint venture, steering its annual revenue from $850 million to $1.2 billion. His later work included founding the embedded finance firm Maast and serving on the ETA’s Presidential Advisory Council. Bell continues to influence the sector through his advisory roles at AlixPartners, Recognize, and The Strawhecker Group. The awards ceremony will highlight the contributions of two leaders who remain active in the current fintech ecosystem.
