TAT Technologies Secures Sole APU Parts Distribution Rights

TAT Technologies has solidified its role in the aviation aftermarket by becoming the sole global authorized distributor for Honeywell Aerospace’s GTCP 331-200/250 auxiliary power unit spare parts. The agreement, announced July 14, 2026, also extends the company’s MRO licensing for the platform through 2036, streamlining support for global aircraft operators.

By centralizing parts distribution and repair services under one roof, TAT aims to reduce the logistical friction typically associated with maintaining the GTCP 331-200/250 platform. Operators and lessors can now bypass the need to coordinate across multiple vendors, a shift expected to accelerate turnaround times for critical maintenance cycles. The expanded partnership also includes the acquisition of three 131-9A APUs, bolstering the company’s internal trading and leasing capabilities.

CEO Igal Zamir characterized the deal as a milestone in the company’s history, noting that the ability to offer lifecycle support—from initial parts supply to final repair—aligns with the company's long-term strategy. Brandie Maxwell, VP of Sales for Honeywell Aerospace, cited the company’s technical track record as the primary driver for the exclusive appointment. While the agreement grants broad authority, it excludes direct distribution to non-aftermarket original equipment manufacturers and carries specific regional limitations for Africa until 2030.
