Woodforest National Bank Taps Zelus for Retail Automation
Woodforest National Bank is deploying the SNAP automation platform across its 740-branch network, signaling a major push to modernize retail banking operations. The agreement follows the bank’s decision to transition to the Jack Henry SilverLake System, aiming to streamline internal processes without complicating its existing technological infrastructure.

The rollout will span 17 states, reaching from Texas to New York, as the bank seeks to reinforce its commitment to customer service through advanced digital tools. Julie Mayrant, President and Chief Community Bank Officer at Woodforest, noted that the SNAP solution integrates directly with the bank's new core banking system, allowing for seamless automation of retail tasks. By layering the platform onto its existing investments, the institution avoids the friction often associated with large-scale digital overhauls.
Russell Bond, CEO of Zelus Automation Platform, described the partnership as a validation of the company's focus on the community banking sector. With implementation slated to begin in the coming months, the project represents a significant expansion for the Zelus platform. Woodforest, which maintains a workforce of approximately 4,300 associates, currently holds an Outstanding CRA rating and continues to operate as an employee-owned institution.
