The acquisition brings Frank Maier-Rigaud’s firm into the Kroll fold, expanding the latter’s ability to handle damage quantification, merger reviews, and abuse of dominance cases. ABC economics has built its reputation on a bridge between academic rigor and applied competition policy, working extensively with law firms and financial institutions on matters spanning energy, telecommunications, and international trade.

Michael H. Dolan, President of Financial Advisory at Kroll, noted that economic analysis has become a decisive factor in modern regulatory and legal environments. For Kroll, this integration follows the earlier launch of its Economics and Decision Intelligence units. By absorbing the Berlin-based team, the firm aims to move beyond traditional accounting-based analysis, providing clients with the sophisticated economic evidence increasingly demanded by courts and competition authorities worldwide.
