Home Depot Expands Halloween Animatronic Lineup for 2026

The viral 12-foot Skelly skeleton returns to The Home Depot’s seasonal lineup this July, anchoring a 2026 Halloween collection that emphasizes interactive technology and expanded scale. Starting July 16, the retailer will launch its latest animatronics online, with a full in-store rollout scheduled for late August.

The 2026 collection shifts toward high-tech customization, notably upgrading the fan-favorite Skelly with Bluetooth-enabled voice modulation and LCD LifeEyes. Owners can now manipulate the skeleton’s head and mouth movements using integrated servo motors, allowing for real-time interaction. Despite these advancements, the retailer maintains a sub-$300 price point for its flagship giant.

Beyond the skeleton, the company is diversifying its roster of oversized décor. New additions include an 11-foot LED Mummy with poseable shoulders and an 8-foot Perilous Plant Monster equipped with motion-triggered animations. The lineup also features smaller, dialogue-capable pieces, such as the 5-foot Dead Water Rotwing Parrot, which utilizes conversational technology to respond to simple questions.

Aubrey Horowitz, decorative holiday merchant at The Home Depot, noted that the designs stem from feedback within enthusiast communities. To support the storage of these massive displays, the company is also promoting its Husky 170-gallon totes alongside the new inventory. Customers can access the full range via the company website and app, with in-store stock arriving as the season progresses.
