Leifras Tapped to Lead Kagawa Prefecture School Sports Reform

This initiative aligns with Japan’s national mandate to shift weekend club activities away from schools and into the private and regional sectors to alleviate teacher workloads. As the country enters its official Reform Execution Period, the Ministry of Education expects over 30 percent of weekend school clubs to complete this transition within the current year. Leifras will work directly with local administrative leads to assess regional needs, facilitate committee discussions, and establish a sustainable ecosystem for youth sports.

Leifras, which currently supports 2,120 clubs across Japan, was selected based on its extensive track record and existing network of partnerships with 33 prefectures. The project underscores a broader shift in the Japanese education landscape, where the potential market for privatized school activities is estimated at 500 billion yen. By deploying specialized instructors and oversight systems, the company aims to standardize the quality of coaching while maintaining its safety record in the youth sports sector.
