Cordex Expands Zemcelpro Access to Argentina, Hong Kong and Singapore
Cordex Biologics has signed a distribution agreement with FarmaMondo SA to bring Zemcelpro, a novel hematopoietic stem cell therapy, to patients in Argentina, Hong Kong, and Singapore. The partnership aims to navigate complex regulatory landscapes to provide early access for individuals with hematological malignancies lacking suitable donor options.

Zemcelpro, also known as dorocubicel or UM171 Cell Therapy, utilizes a personalized cryopreserved product containing UM171-expanded CD34+ cells and unexpanded CD34- cells sourced from the same cord blood unit. Following its conditional authorization by the European Commission, the therapy is intended for adult patients requiring allogeneic stem cell transplantation after myeloablative conditioning. FarmaMondo will leverage its specialty distribution and market access expertise to facilitate these early access programs in the specified international markets.
David Millette, CEO of Cordex, emphasized that the collaboration marks a critical step in the company's global strategy to address significant unmet medical needs. Yaron Spigel, CEO of FarmaMondo, noted that the agreement aligns with his firm’s mission to deliver life-saving treatments to regions where traditional pathways are often challenging. While Zemcelpro has already been evaluated in over 120 patients across clinical trials in the United States, Europe, and Canada, Cordex continues to pursue further regulatory filings in the UK, Switzerland, and North America to broaden the reach of its proprietary stem cell expansion technology.
