Cordex Expands Zemcelpro Access to Argentina, Hong Kong and Singapore
Cordex has tapped FarmaMondo to distribute Zemcelpro, a specialized cell therapy for blood cancers, across Argentina, Hong Kong and Singapore. This agreement aims to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and provide early patient access to the personalized stem cell product, which recently secured conditional approval in the European Union.

The partnership leverages FarmaMondo’s expertise in specialty distribution to facilitate early access pathways for patients requiring allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Zemcelpro, also known as dorocubicel or UM171 Cell Therapy, uses a proprietary platform to expand stem cells from cord blood units, offering a treatment option for adults with hematological malignancies who lack suitable donors.
Cordex CEO David Millette noted that the move reflects a broader global strategy to deliver innovative therapies to markets with significant unmet medical needs. FarmaMondo CEO Yaron Spigel emphasized that the collaboration will assist treating physicians and transplant centers in managing the logistical hurdles inherent in bringing advanced therapies to these regions.
Currently, Zemcelpro has been evaluated in over 120 patients across clinical trials in the United States, Europe and Canada. Beyond this distribution deal, Cordex is pursuing regulatory filings in the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and Switzerland, while preparing to initiate a pivotal Phase 3 trial for patients with high-risk acute leukemias and myelodysplasias.
