Newgen Software Reports 26% Profit Growth in Q1
New Delhi-based Newgen Software Technologies recorded a 26% year-over-year jump in profit after tax for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, reaching ₹63 crore. The company’s revenue also saw a steady climb, rising 11% to ₹357 crore as demand for its AI-enabled enterprise platforms accelerated across global markets.
The company’s growth was driven largely by its performance in the Americas, where revenues surged by 27% compared to the same period last year. This geographic expansion was complemented by a 40% increase in SaaS subscription revenue, signaling a successful transition toward a recurring revenue model. During the quarter, Newgen added 10 new enterprise customers and secured significant contracts, including a major insurance platform transformation in Kuwait valued at approximately ₹26.7 crore and a loan origination project in the Philippines worth ₹16.2 crore.
Chairman and Managing Director Diwakar Nigam attributed the results to a resilient execution strategy and the deep integration of AI across content and workflow processes. CEO Virender Jeet highlighted that the company's focus remains on disciplined project delivery and deepening relationships within the banking and insurance sectors. To bolster its market position, Newgen also secured recognition in several Forrester reports, covering categories from accounts payable invoice automation to low-code platforms.
