Riverdale Inventor Proposes New Plumbing Manifold Design
A Riverdale, Georgia-based plumber has developed a modified water supply manifold, dubbed the Ultimate Manifold, designed to streamline the installation of eight-inch spread faucets and mop sinks. The device aims to eliminate traditional pipe-sweating requirements by integrating dedicated valve fittings directly into the rough-in plumbing process.
The manifold simplifies water supply connections by allowing PEX piping to run directly to fixtures, bypassing the labor-intensive need to solder individual fittings. By standardizing the connection points for hot and cold lines, the design increases efficiency for professional plumbers, maintenance personnel, and experienced DIY enthusiasts alike. The inventor has completed a prototype and technical documentation for the unit, which is now being offered for licensing or sale through the Pittsburgh-based firm InventHelp.
