San Francisco Bay University Launches $10,000 AI-Integrated MBA

San Francisco Bay University is disrupting the traditional graduate business model with the launch of MBA Pro+, a fully online program priced at $10,000. Designed for working professionals, the curriculum replaces standard lecture formats with a pay-as-you-go structure and a proprietary AI system built to emphasize practical workplace competencies.

The Fremont-based institution spent 16,000 hours developing the program alongside industry experts from firms including Google, OpenAI, and IBM. Rather than treating artificial intelligence as an add-on, the university redesigned its pedagogy around the Think-Do-Create model. Students interact with Bayley, a Socratic AI assistant that provides 24/7 feedback while faculty members focus on mentorship and high-level guidance. The goal is to address a growing demand for affordability and career-ready skills, as cited in recent data from the Graduate Management Admission Council.

With 12 asynchronous courses totaling 36 credits, the program aims to remain flexible for students balancing professional and personal lives. The curriculum tracks 45 specific competencies that organizations currently report as lacking in new hires, such as creative problem-solving and ethical AI leadership. By abandoning the high-cost, ivory-tower approach, the university intends to provide a more accessible path for mid-career professionals. Rolling enrollment for the inaugural cohort begins September 1, 2026, marking a shift toward programs that prioritize measurable student outcomes over traditional academic prestige.
