Kumho Tire Launches $50,000 Assistance Program for Georgia Veterans
Fifty Georgia veterans facing financial hardship will receive full sets of replacement tires under a new initiative from Kumho Tire U.S.A. The program, valued at over $50,000, aims to ensure safe, reliable transportation for those struggling to reach employment, healthcare facilities, and other essential community services.
The Georgia Veterans Tire Assistance Program marks the first major project born from the company’s recent partnership with the Georgia Veterans Service Foundation. By covering the cost of four new tires per recipient, the initiative addresses a specific barrier to mobility that often hinders veterans from maintaining consistent employment or attending medical appointments.
Edmund Cho, CEO of Kumho Tire U.S.A., noted that the program is designed to translate the company’s corporate commitment into tangible community support. The Georgia Veterans Service Foundation will manage the selection process, reviewing applicants based on financial need, residency, and vehicle safety requirements. Veterans interested in the program must provide proof of military service, valid insurance, and current vehicle registration to qualify. Applicants not selected in an initial round may be reconsidered in subsequent quarters, provided they have not received assistance from the program within the previous 24 months.
