Matthew Cooper Joins Crum & Forster to Lead Stop Loss Sales

With three decades of experience in the stop loss insurance market, Matthew Cooper has been named Vice President of Stop Loss Sales at Crum & Forster’s Accident & Health Division. He moves into the role tasked with accelerating national growth and refining the company's producer relationships and underwriting strategy.

Cooper arrives at the Eatontown-based firm from the Reinsurance Group of America, where he previously directed the national go-to-market strategy for Employer Stop Loss. His career also includes leadership positions at Berkley Accident and Health and Arizona Benefit Plans. At Crum & Forster, he will oversee the sales team within the Medical Business Unit, focusing on new business development and the integration of sales, claims, and underwriting operations.

David Webb, Senior Vice President of C&F Stop Loss, noted that the hire is intended to capitalize on Cooper’s expertise in building high-performing sales organizations. A graduate of Fort Lewis College, Cooper remains active in industry groups such as the Self-Insurance Institute of America and the Health Care Administrators Association, where he contributed to the Certified Self-Funding Specialist designation.
