Northwest Bank Secures Spot on TIME's 2026 Best Companies List
With a ranking of 394th out of 1,000 top U.S. firms, Columbus-based Northwest Bank has earned a place on TIME’s America’s Best Companies 2026 list. The financial institution was evaluated alongside national peers based on a combination of internal employee satisfaction metrics, sustained financial performance, and corporate sustainability transparency.

The selection process, conducted in partnership with data provider Statista, examined more than just balance sheets. Analysts weighed revenue and asset growth against verified feedback from employees and public disclosures regarding environmental performance, board diversity, and human rights compliance. For the 130-year-old bank, the inclusion serves as a benchmark for its recent organizational transformation.
Lou Torchio, president and CEO of Northwest Bank, credited the firm’s workforce for the recognition, citing a focus on fostering a culture of accountability. Headquartered in Ohio, the institution currently manages 152 full-service financial centers across Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, and Indiana. As the bank shifts toward long-term growth, this ranking acts as a signal of its efforts to balance shareholder value with talent retention and community impact.
