Panama Targets Regional Growth with Expanded 2027 Trade Expo Platform
More than 20,000 visitors are expected to descend upon the Panama Convention Center in Amador next April, as the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama unveils a unified four-pronged exhibition strategy designed to solidify the nation's role as a primary gateway for global trade and investment.

Scheduled for April 6-8, 2027, the initiative bundles EXPOCOMER, EXPO LOGÍSTICA PANAMÁ, EXPO ELÉCTRICA INTERNACIONAL, and EXPO TECH into a single economic engine. By co-locating these events, the CCIAP aims to streamline cross-border transactions and bridge the gap between global investors and markets across Latin America, the Caribbean, and the Andean region.
"Panama offers an ideal environment for building high-impact partnerships and developing sustainable solutions for the Latin American market," said Aurelio Barría Pino, president of the CCIAP. The program focuses on sectors ranging from multimodal transportation and supply chain infrastructure to artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. Beyond the core exhibition floor, the agenda features specialized forums and business matchmaking sessions intended to foster regional competitiveness.
The launch event drew a significant contingent of diplomats, business leaders, and representatives from institutions such as the Inter-American Development Bank and CAF. Organizing committee president Gustavo Taft noted that the platform acts as a formal catalyst for international sales, emphasizing that environmental innovation and sustainability will anchor the 2027 agenda. Ahead of this major undertaking, Panama is also preparing to host the World of Coffee 2026 this October, marking the first time the global event takes place in a coffee-producing nation within Latin America.
