PrimeBOT Redefines Personal Robotics with Milan Design Wins
At the A' Design Award ceremony in Milan, PrimeBOT models Q1 and T1 secured Gold and Silver honors, establishing the first global benchmark for the nascent "Personal Robot" category. The recognition highlights a shift toward domestic companionship, moving away from industrial automation to focus on human-centric, intimate machine integration.
Unlike robots engineered for factory floors or single-task service, PrimeBOT designs prioritize the user's living space. The studio rejects the industry trend of mimicking human anatomy, opting instead for minimalist geometry and warm-touch materials. By concealing mechanical components under soft curves, the robots aim to minimize the psychological distance often created by complex technology.
Both models embody the philosophy "For people, unlike people." The 80cm Q1 features an open-source shell that invites 3D-printed customization, while the T1 model offers functional versatility by shifting between bipedal and quadrupedal modes. Following a string of five accolades at CES 2026, PrimeBOT is currently expanding its market presence across North America and Europe, positioning these machines as adaptable companions rather than mere tools.
