After 34 years as a Department of Defense firefighter and a career in nursing, U.S. Air Force veteran Eric Falcon and his wife Laurie are transitioning to entrepreneurship. The Falcons plan to launch their first location in Alamo Heights by Spring 2027, with subsequent studios slated for Stone Oak and La Cantera. This expansion reflects a broader growth strategy for the Texas-based franchise, which currently operates 86 locations nationwide and maintains a pipeline of 30 additional openings for the year. The couple intends to hire up to 15 staff members per studio, including management and certified instructors, to support their goal of fostering a community-focused fitness environment.

For the Falcons, the move is rooted in a desire to continue their tradition of public service through wellness. The brand’s emphasis on inclusive, reformer-based training aligns with their vision for the new locations. BODYBAR CEO Matt McCollum noted that the San Antonio market has long been a priority for the company, citing the region’s density and active demographic as key drivers for the partnership. Prospective franchisees looking to replicate this model face total investment costs ranging from approximately $431,000 to $756,000.
