Ray Veeraraghavan Joins L7 Informatics to Lead AI Strategy
With over two decades of experience bridging the gap between machine learning research and clinical application, Ray Veeraraghavan, Ph.D., has been appointed Vice President of Science and AI at L7 Informatics. He joins the Austin-based firm to oversee the integration of L7|SYNAPSE Agentic AI within the company's enterprise platform.
Veeraraghavan arrives at L7 following a tenure as Executive Director of Bioinformatics and Data Science Innovation at Quest Diagnostics. During his time there, he managed a molecular diagnostics portfolio valued at over $2.5 billion and spearheaded the selection of L7|ESP as the organization's core operating system. His background also includes building the AI infrastructure for a record-breaking rapid whole-genome-sequencing workflow at Rady Children's Institute for Genomic Medicine.
Reporting to CEO Vasu Rangadass, Veeraraghavan is tasked with creating standardized scientific content and accelerating the deployment of agentic AI for L7’s enterprise clients. The company aims to move beyond isolated software tools, positioning its platform as a unified architecture for physical operations in regulated life sciences. According to Rangadass, Veeraraghavan’s history as both a customer and an architect of clinical AI systems makes him uniquely qualified to guide the company’s strategic expansion.
