The EC35 prioritizes ease of use over technical precision. Equipped with a 25mm acrylic lens, a fixed f/10 aperture, and a 1/100 shutter speed, the camera is built for convenience rather than professional-grade clarity. Users must manually wind and rewind the film, a tactile process that underscores its analog roots. The inclusion of a built-in automatic flash further solidifies its role as a casual, point-and-shoot companion.

Unlike its predecessor, the A1, this model omits advanced features like zone focusing and double exposure capabilities. Its primary design flourish is a sliding lens cover, a nod to the classic Olympus Mju series, which protects the optics when not in use. Available in a palette of muted tones—including butter yellow, lavender, powder blue, blush pink, and avocado green—the camera uses contrasting lens covers to elevate its aesthetic beyond standard disposable equipment.
