The summit drew representatives from Novartis, Pfizer, Boehringer Ingelheim, Sanofi, and AstraZeneca, alongside researchers from ETH Zurich and the University of British Columbia. Dr. Minmin Yang, founder and CEO of PharmaBlock, framed the transition not as a mere environmental mandate, but as a core driver for future pharmaceutical competitiveness. Discussions centered on moving beyond incremental improvements to fundamentally reimagine manufacturing through integrated green technologies.

Key technical sessions spotlighted continuous flow manufacturing and advancements in green peptide synthesis, specifically utilizing bio-based solvents and enzymatic ligation. Participants identified early-stage carbon footprint assessments and Scope 3 supply chain collaboration as essential levers for meeting long-term climate targets. To support these objectives, PharmaBlock unveiled its Integrated Flow Manufacturing Platform and officially inaugurated a Swiss Green-Tech Innovation Hub, designed to accelerate the industrialization of sustainable chemistry across the European market.
