Wendy's Launches Sonic the Hedgehog Kids' Meal Collection
To mark the 35th anniversary of the iconic gaming franchise, Wendy’s is rolling out a new Kids’ Meal promotion across the United States. Starting July 20, the restaurant chain will include exclusive trading card sets featuring characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog universe with every children’s meal purchase.
The promotion offers seven distinct collectible cases, each containing five trading cards. With 35 unique cards available, collectors can secure designs featuring series staples like Sonic, Amy Rose, and Miles "Tails" Prower, as well as fan-favorite allies and antagonists including Knuckles the Echidna, Silver the Hedgehog, Shadow the Hedgehog, and Rouge the Bat. The meals are available through early September at participating U.S. locations, as well as via the Wendy's app and official website.
Following a successful rollout in the UK earlier this year, the U.S. launch brings the collaboration to a wider market. Each meal includes a choice of chicken tenders, nuggets, or a burger, paired with Jr. Hot & Crispy Fries or apple bites. These collectibles are available while supplies last, and the company notes that the specific character designs may vary by location.
